These practices aren’t about obsessing over rules—they’re about making space in our lives and freely offering a sacrifice to grow closer to God. Don’t turn the rules into an idol, but also don’t dismiss them casually or make exceptions without intention.
Daily Prayer
Morning Prayer
Agpeya, Jesus Prayer, or any structured prayer
Spend time intentionally consecrating the day to God
Minimum 5 minutes
Evening Prayer & Reflection
Agpeya, Jesus Prayer, or any structured prayer
Using a written format, examine your day
Thank God for what went well
Reflect on what didn’t go well
Repent and ask for help for sins committed
Minimum 10 minutes
Holy Half Hour (Daily)
30 minutes minimum
Includes the Relent Bible Reading from the Reading Plan (About 1 Chapter)
Can be combined with Morning or Evening Prayer & Reflection
Must include quiet, distraction-free time
Focus is being with God, not intellectual or overly theological and academic reading, even if Christian
Liturgy attendance counts
Sacramental Life
Attend Liturgy once a week, every week
Confess once at the start of Lent, and again later if determined with Father of Confession
Entertainment & Social Media
No Social Media / Entertainment including
Instagram
Facebook

Food Discipline
No Desserts (Monday–Friday)
Fruit is not dessert
Cookies, cake, pastries = dessert
Some meals can be sweet without being dessert (pancakes, cereal, etc.)
Use common sense
Your group can help keep you honest
Abstinence
Do not eat food during the first part of your day
Set personally with your Father of Confession
Wednesdays and Fridays encouraged (as applicable)
Anchors
Check-in on your anchor daily
Meet with your group weekly
Screen-time locks with anchors are encouraged if needed
Simplicity
No unnecessary purchases
What counts as “necessary” is decided by your group
When in doubt, ask before buying.
Exceptions
Saturdays, Sundays, and Feast Days
Movies & Wholesome entertainment (not social media, nothing short-form) can be enjoyed on weekends for up to 4 hours
Desserts can be eaten on weekends
Time Spent with Family
Movies & Wholesome entertainment (not social media, nothing short-form) can be enjoyed during family time that is actually with your family
Desserts can be enjoyed during family time that is actually with your family
You must explain these during your weekly group check-in
Additional exceptions can be discussed case by case with your group.
